When a deep space fishing vessel is robbed by a gang of pirates, the Captain makes a daring decision to go after a rare and nearly extinct species. On the hunt, his obsession propels them further into space and danger as the crew spins into a downward spiral of mutiny and betrayal.
Inspired by Brexit and Donald Trump, Last Village on the Right is a delightfully tongue-in-cheek comedy-horror, following a group of American film makers on the way to the Cannes film market to sell a horror film, when they get lost and find themselves in a stunning small mountain town in the South of France, where a strange couple, Adolphi and his wife Kiki, seduce and murder tourists. Just two days after that announcement, another project from Michael Mann Books is in the works: author Don Winslow (Savages) is writing a novel about Chicago crime boss Tony Accardo and his successor Sam Giancana, which Mann might adapt into a feature film.
